In digitized periodicals’ catalog are included titles that are not yet entered into main electronic catalog. They are mostly older German periodicals from so called restricted collections and titles that are no longer published and their edition ended few years ago or such ones for which Library acquisition is not carried out. As a main goal of Library is to enter all information about periodicals into electronic catalog – titles from digitized catalog will be successively processed and enter into its electronic counterpart (i.e. OPAC). For this reason to specific titles the note Zob. KATALOG KOMPUTEROWY (see: Electronic catalog) will be added that means that that title has been thoroughly processed and along with full information about holding numbers is already available in electronic catalog.

Electronic ordering from digitized catalog

For readers who have library cards (with the mode of online ordering to reading rooms) online ordering of collections to reading rooms of Library is now available.

Under scanned picture of every card is button „zamów” (request) that allows online ordering to proper reading room:

- Current and Archive Periodicals Reading Room
- Silesian Collection Reading Room
- Special Collections’ Reading Room

During fulfillment of ordering form, special attention should be paid to localization of ordering materials – it is shown on digitized card and in the electronic form should be chosen from scroll down menu. It is vital to choose right localization, because it causes direction of ordering form to the proper reading room. Reference cards (with phrase „zob.”) should not be basis for online ordering.
